Our activities

Sensory groups

We have different sensory groups running each week.

Sensory Bees is a five-week course demonstrating how to provide a calming and educational play time for your baby using sensory toys and equipment.

We run three groups – for under-1s, under-2s, and 3-5 year-olds, but Lisa works hard to be flexible around family dynamics. The groups are fully inclusive.

Sensory Play has multiple benefits including;

  • Supports language development
  • Promotes cognitive growth
  • Improves motor skills
  • Encourages problem solving skills

The groups are £3 per family, and Infant Massage is £25 for the course.

Special events can be more expensive and these prices will be shown clearly on our Facebook pages.

But we know that for many of us money can be tight, so we always have a number of free places on each group. Have a quiet chat with Lisa if this would be a help.

Classes

  •  Honeysuckle Sensory, ages 0-5, Monday 1pm-2.30pm. £3
  • Sunflower Sensory, under-2s, Wednesday 1.30pm-3pm. £3
  • Honeybees Sensory, under-1s, Friday 10am-11.30am. £3

Book onto a course

Booking is recommended, as we do get busy! Just select the session you want to book and take it from there.

For the Stay and Play sessions, you can pay with cash on the door but we can't guarantee a place.

Alternatively, you can visit our booking page at https://bookwhen.com/beeearlyyears

Stay and Play

Stay and Play is the perfect taster for our favourite play groups. Sessions include different arts and crafts, sing-a-long and more.

This is a great way to meet other families in a covid-safe environment, and spend some quality time with your little one.

When you arrive you will be given a mat with a selection of toys on it to explore with your little one, spaced out in our big hall so that you can keep safe whilst socialising with other parents.

Our early years team will happily make you a brew and will lead you in a fun play session so you and your little one can bond and create memories in a friendly environment

Classes

  • Snapdragons Stay and Play, under-5s, Wednesday 10am-12pm. £2.50
  • Hummingbees Stay and Play, under-5s, Friday 1pm-3pm. £2.50

"Baby massage can increase a mum’s awareness of her baby’s needs and support their early bond. Parents also say they find baby massage a lovely way of bonding with their baby."

– The National Childbirth Trust

You can learn baby massage with The Corner House. Our instructor, Lisa, has been delivering these courses for over eighteen years.
